Registration for classes through the current registration system (limited number of places) and in the Physical Education and Sports Department for students with documented medical indications to limit physical activity.

Changing rooms are available 15 minutes before classes.
During chess classes it is NOT POSSIBLE to make up absences from other types of classes.

Description:

Learning to play chess, including logical thinking, planning, strategy, fair play and decision-making skills. Students will learn basic skills necessary to play chess: getting familiar with a chessboard, learning the names and functions of pieces, becoming familiar with the terms: check, checkmate, stalemate, castling, beating in passing, transformation, chess opening.

  • Organization of the class. Discussing health and safety rules.
  • Chessboard and pieces - familiarizing students with the game - King, Rook, Bishop, Hetman, Jumper, Pawn - What is chess? Mat ? When is a stalemate? Castling? What is the difference between a pawn and the rest of the pieces? Beating in passing? Change? - Discussion of the movements of the various figures on the board.
  • Practice games between students.
  • Solving chess puzzles - mate in one move.
  • Solving chess puzzles - mate in two moves.
  • Finishing chess games.
  • The theory of debuts, how to start a chess game and their types.
  • A chess tournament.
